A group is a secure environment for your lab, research group, or department in an academic institute or company where members can work jointly on projects, track the lab's inventory, share procedures and SOPs, and exchange data. As a group member, your user role and permission will determine what data and application features you can access within the lab group. Users can be a member of multiple labs and may be assigned a unique user role with different permissions for each group. When a user is a member of multiple groups, their active group setting will determine the lab space in which they are currently working.
