The eLabProtocols Cloud is hosted from two geographically distant data centres in the Netherlands. The eLabProtocols Cloud is a fully redundant system with shared-nothing architecture that is replicating in real-time. In case of a disastrous event (i.e. power outage, flooding, fire, earthquake etc.) in one of the data centres that affect the availability of the eLabProtocols Cloud server in that data centre, all active client sessions are automatically taken over by the second data centre. The server load is monitored in real-time in both data centres and the average server load is kept below 50% to enable service without dips in the server performance. The dedicated eLabProtocols Private Cloud and eLabProtocols Cloud On-Premises installations can also be configured as a high availability system installation in data centres.
